What lessons do we carry forward if our spirit is reborn into a new life?

On the False Belief of Reincarnation or Rebirth

The belief in reincarnation or rebirth is false and rejected in Islam.

Allah says in the Qur’an:
“If they were returned, they would certainly revert to that which they were forbidden; and indeed, they are liars.”
(Sūrah al-An‘ām 6:28)

And Allah says:
“Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: ‘My Lord, send me back, that I might do righteousness in that which I left behind.’ No! It is only a word he is saying…”
(Sūrah al-Mu’minūn 23:99–100)

These verses clearly prove that there is no return to worldly life to correct mistakes. If a person were returned, he would repeat the same denial and sins.

There is no lesson in reincarnation, only the repetition of the same mistakes. Guidance is accepted before death, not after witnessing the unseen.
