Your Grade Certificate and life diary for keepsake in Jannah

The Day of Judgment (Yawm al-Qiyamah), when people will be given their Book of Deeds (Kitab al-A‘mal) that records everything they did in their lives.

Right Hand vs. Left Hand:

  • People of Jannah (Paradise) will receive their book in their right hand, signifying salvation and success.
  • People of Hell will receive it in their left hand or from behind their back, symbolizing regret, failure, and punishment.

📖 Qur’an Reference — Surah Al-Haqqah (69:19–25):

“Then as for him who is given his Record in his right hand, he will say, ‘Here, read my Record!’”
“Indeed, I was sure that I would be meeting my account.”
“So he will be in a pleasant life…”
“…But as for him who is given his Record in his left hand, he will say, ‘Oh, I wish I had not been given my Record.’”
  1. The Book of Deeds as a Source of Joy: In Surah Al-Haqqah (69:19), the person who receives the book in their right hand says joyfully: “Here, read my Record!” This suggests pride and happiness in sharing and remembering those deeds.
  2. No Sorrow in Jannah: In Jannah, everything brings comfort. If having the Book of Deeds serves as a beautiful reminder of one’s journey and Allah’s mercy, it is very likely it would be a treasured “keepsake” in Paradise.
  3. Reward and Remembrance: Paradise is not just about reward — it’s also about remembrance, reunion, and realization of what one went through for Allah’s sake. The Book will serve as a personal diary of victory, like medals after a long struggle.

💭 Imagine This (Reflection):

In their gardens beneath which rivers flow,
The righteous open their Book, aglow.
Pages filled with prayers whispered in the night,
Fasts, struggles, patience, each small fight.
A memento not of pride, but mercy’s trace
Of how Allah’s light filled every space.
In their Jannah homes, the Book rests near,
A reminder that
Allah saw, Allah heard, Allah was always near.
