What are the signs that Allah is guiding you

 One of the greatest signs that Allah is guiding you is that He blesses you with true faith (īmān). You begin to believe firmly in Allah—His existence, His Names and Attributes—His angels, His revealed books, His messengers, the Day of Resurrection, and the divine decree (al-qadr). He opens your heart to establish the prayer (ṣalāh), give zakāh, obey Him, love Him, and turn away from sin out of fear and reverence for Him.

Those who persist in doubting the existence of Allah, the truthfulness of His messengers, the authenticity of His revealed books, the existence and role of the angels, the Day of Resurrection, or Allah's divine decree have gone astray unless they repent and return to faith.

True faith is strengthened through obedience to Allah, while persistent disobedience weakens faith and can lead a person further away from His guidance.

Allah says:

"Whoever Allah wills to guide, He opens his breast to Islam; and whoever He wills to let go astray, He makes his breast tight and constricted..."
— Qur'an 6:125

"The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and so have the believers. All of them have believed in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. They say, 'We make no distinction between any of His messengers.'"
— Qur'an 2:285

"The believers are only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not..."
— Qur'an 49:15

"But if they repent, establish prayer, and give zakāh, then they are your brothers in religion."
— Qur'an 9:11

"Indeed, We have created everything according to a divine decree (qadar)."
— Qur'an 54:49

The Prophet ﷺ also explained the pillars of faith when Jibrīl (Gabriel) asked him about īmān:

"Faith (īmān) is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and to believe in the divine decree (al-qadr), its good and its bad."
— Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim (Hadith of Jibrīl)

He ﷺ also said:

"Islam is built upon five: testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing the prayer, giving zakāh, performing Hajj, and fasting Ramadan."
— Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim

This combines the Qur'anic foundations of faith with the authentic Prophetic explanation of the six pillars of īmān and the five pillars of Islam, showing that guidance manifests both in correct belief and righteous action.
