 ✨ How are the Hands of Allah unlike His creation?

1️⃣ We affirm what Allah affirms for Himself

Allah says:

“The whole earth will be in His Hand on the Day of Judgment, and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand.” — Surah Az-Zumar 39:67

The Prophet ﷺ recited this verse and reminded us that:

Allah truly has a Hand

This does not resemble the hands of creation

This is aqidah of Ahlus-Sunnah:

We affirm the meaning without asking how (بِلَا كَيْف)

We do not liken Allah to His creation We do not deny or distort His Attributes

2️⃣ Surah Ikhlāṣ explains why His Hand is unique

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

“Say: He is Allah, One.”

اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ

“Allah is Perfectly Self-Sufficient.”

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ

“He does not beget, nor was He begotten.”

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

“There is nothing comparable to Him.”

⚠️ This final ayah is the foundation:

"There is NOTHING like Allah." So His Hand is not like any hand we know.

3️⃣ Our understanding is between two extremes

Islam rejects:

❌ Tashbīh — claiming Allah’s Hand is like human hands

❌ Ta’wīl — explaining it away metaphorically (“power only”)

❌ Ta’ṭīl — denying the Attribute completely

We take the middle balanced path:

“Allah has a Hand — but HOW is unknown to us.” بِلَا تَشْبِيه وَلَا تَعْطِيل وَلَا تَكْيِيف وَلَا تَمْثِيل

This is the creed of:

The Prophet of Allah

His companions

The three favorite generations of islam

The Real scholars of Islam

4️⃣ Allah’s Attributes show His Majesty

When Allah rolls up the heavens in His Hand…

It shows:

His Perfect Power

His Total Control

His Greatness beyond imagination

Not a similarity to creation.

🛡️ Final Summary (easy to use in debate)

We say:

Allah has a Hand

Not like the hands of creation

Affirmed by Qur’an and Sunnah

Without describing how

Because “There is none like Him.” (112:4)

Affirm the meaning. Reject the likeness. Leave the “how” to Allah.
