How I Left Porn for Allah|An Islamic Recovery Guide Introduction – The Shame of Sin vs the Sweetness of Leaving It for Allah There was a time in my life when I was only inches away from selling my Lord and His Hereafter for a few moments of forbidden pleasure — a step that could have dragged me into prostitution. A click, a glance, a touch — and it could have been over. The temptation was strong — the allure of semi-nude women who stirred my lust to disobey my Lord and commit masturbation and shameful deeds. I was on the verge of trading my Lord and my Hereafter for a fleeting, shameful sin. But then Allah intervened. He forbade me from shamelessness and reminded me of His command: “Indeed, Allah commands justice, good conduct, and giving to relatives, and forbids shamelessness (fahshā’), evil deeds (munkar), and transgression (baghy). He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.” (Qur’an 16:90) Allah promised something far greater than the temporary pleasure of this world — t...

A Call to Reflect on Allah and the Truth

Life is full of questions that every soul must ask itself. Who gave us life when once we were nothing—not even mentioned?

“Has there not been over man a period of time when he was not a thing even mentioned?”

(Surah Al-Insān 76:1)

Are we the creators of ourselves, or were we brought into existence from nothing?

“Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators of themselves? Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they have no certainty.”

(Surah At-Ṭūr 52:35–36)

Allah’s Promise of Accountability

When Allah informed the angels that He would place a vicegerent on earth, they questioned:

“Will You place in it one who will spread corruption and shed blood?”

Allah replied:

“Indeed, I know that which you do not know.”(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:30)

Unlike lions, tigers, or gorillas—beasts far removed from awareness of their Allah( The only one creater) unseen, bound by instinct, incapable of distinguishing truth from falsehood or good from evil—mankind was created from dust yet was honored above creation.

He was born close to Allah, taught the knowledge of all things, and granted the ability to discern truth from falsehood and good from evil, even when unseen:

“And He taught Adam the names – all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, ‘Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful.’” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:31)

Allah also gave mankind the gift of criteria and the speech to testify with clarity:

“The Most Merciful. Taught the Qur’an. Created man. [And] taught him eloquence (bayān).” (Surah Ar-Raḥmān 55:1–4)

He created man in the best form:

“Indeed, We created man in the best of stature.” (Surah At-Tīn 95:4)

And taught him that which he did not know:

“He taught man that which he knew not.” (Surah Al-ʿAlaq 96:5)

The Role of Mankind

Man was granted stature, knowledge, and testimony to act as judge and vicegerent among creation. On top of that, Allah revealed His guidance through prophets and holy books, reminding mankind of its true status before Him.

Those who accept the truth and testify sincerely will return, after resurrection, to their original home—Paradise. But those who deny the truth, claiming there is no afterlife and living only for worldly desires—worshipping false gods, chasing fleeting gains, rejecting Allah’s favors—will be cast into Hell, reduced to the worst of forms:

“There is nothing but our worldly life; we die and we live, and nothing destroys us except time.”(Surah Al-Jāthiyah 45:24)

This belief, however, is a delusion.
